A 43-year-old aspiring writer and former Little League World Series baseball player is battling a mental health crisis. Unemployed and living in a nursing home in Chicago, Daniel McDonald must resort to desperate measures to afford his addictions and necessities. His unusual lifestyle pushes him to the fringes of society. While chronicling the hardships and triumphs in Daniel’s day-to-day life, this unique documentary illustrates the circumstances of living in long-term care facilities.
